So the title of my blog is kind of ridiculous because if I think about where I've been getting to lately, it only consists of lame places in Provo. BYU library, the gym, my apartment, the grocery store. Thats about it. Way to get around sara!!
I am pretty exhausted right now. Work is kicking my trash!!
ps. watched the Sarah Palin SNL spoofs last night... HILARIOUS

A good day
Today was a day well spent.
1. Church was good
2. Set apart after church and had to wait an hour and a half, so I got to meet a few people and talked to a friend from summer term
3. Ate my leftovers from Indian food
4. Went to Washington 2 to play some SCRABBLE!
5. Worked on German HW
6. Took a nap
7. Marissa is coming over soon
8. Getting visiting teaching done tonight
9. Dessert night tonight! :)
So basically a very good day. I will have to keep having days like this. I need to keep myself going and busy and happy :)

Erlkönig.. a beautiful thing
Today at the library Lara and I, bored out of our sad little minds, went about the task of 'reading.'
Now, you may think, "why do they read? That's pretty cool!" but no. I assure you, this is no fun break sort of chore. It is reading call numbers. call numbers.
These things...
And we did this for sixty full shelves of books. After a while my eyes start to glaze over and I generally resort to stretching in order to keep myself from completely falling asleep mid-call number.
However, today we found a new activity. There is a poem by Goethe, Erlkönig, which I read in german a few days ago. I really want to memorize this poem, and had seen a book of Goethe's poems in German and English. It was just one aisle over, and I decided to do something quite illegal for a library employee, and snuck over to grab it so I could check it out later.
But instead, temptation set in and I was persuaded to read Lara a bit of the poem. Which is rather intense and dramatic, as you can see from this picture depicting the scene of the poem.
So I stood with one foot atop the stool we use for reaching high shelves and started to read, book in my left, raised, and my right hand gesturing towards Lara.
As I came to the part where it reads "Mein Vater, mein Vater!" around the corner came a young man, who clearly realized he was interupting one of the most dramatic displays that stack of books had ever before witnessed. Needless to say, laughter insued on the part of Lara and I, while the poor student quickly changed direction and headed to another row to pass through.
Oh the beauties of working at the Harold B. Lee Library.

I hate crowds
Crowds make me SO uncomfortable. Tonight we had our FHE at the bishop's house, and it was quite difficult for me, because trying to meet people when you are surrounded is pretty hard! I am fine with small groups, but seriously- I don't want to do it again soon. However, the beginning of the year is so crucial as far as meeting people because if you don't do it then, its harder later. I hope I can make a few good friends in this ward. I like my roommates so far, so lets hope it stays that way. There is one guy from my home single's ward that is in my ward here as well, I talked to him a bit today, and he's nice. (disclaimer: I am not interested in the said young man) Also there are some pretty cool but crazy girls that live across the hall. I am super tired and still have homework left.
Wish me luck!
