Packing has got to be one of the most horrible experiences of my life. OH MAN. Its seriously depressing. I have too much junk for this suitcase and am trying desperately to not have to take a second one. I'll see how it goes. The outlook isn't good though....
My initial plan was to take the huge suitcase back to oregon with the little one inside, leave the large one, and bring the little one back with me. Funny how things work out, since now I'm cramming things into the large suitcase.
Not looking forward to getting up early to catch my flight.
Looking forward to seeing Lara!
Looking forward to my ward! (4 new apts. w/1 of my few crushes living in it... so suprised when Lara told me he'd be in our ward this fall!!)

Running
This week has been pretty interesting. Rachel and Peter arrived last Saturday, Grandma, Granddad, and Aunt Liz on Monday, and today Brett and Stacy and their kids will come in the afternoon! Anna and Katie were baptized on Tuesday. It was really beautiful. Then the next day, Wednesday, I had my fondue party with Boo. It was interesting.
Highlights of the night:
An old friend made a really rude comment to me about something I said. She was probably right, but very improper of her to do so, it was one of those moments that needed diffusing. Alyssa did well to change the subject because both of us were upset. And so that got me in a pretty bad mood and I didn't want to talk to her or hear her speak. But she's the type of person who is always talking. And lucky me, then a whole bunch of people arrived and I was still brooding. After being a bad hostess for another hour or so, she left, but then the people I really wanted to talk to also left at about the same time. I didn't want to invite about half the people we invited because in all honesty I don't really know them, they are friends with each other and with Boo, but its not fun for me to hang out with them because they all are in this group and I am not a part of it. So I left at 10. Its not that I didn't have a good time. There were points where I really did, but if we had invited the people I wanted to, I am almost positive that I would have had a much better time. I want to spend some time with people this weekend but since my family is in town, I won't be able to at all. We're booked solid for the entire weekend.
However, I am sure Boo and I will have one at Christmas. Maybe I'll just have a Christmas party and invite whoever I want to come. I think I could throw a rad Christmas Party. But my group of friends left in Oregon City is quickly diminishing, not that I mind so much in a lot of instances. Isn't that sad to admit? I want to stay friends with a very select few people here, and that's it. Its just not worth it to me to work hard to keep up friendships that don't mean much to me, or with people I can't really stand to be around.
I guess this is just a bit of an emo blog because I am sad about the way the party turned out. They are always SO good!! SO GOOD. but not this one, because people are dumb and annoying. And I am socially retarded when I am around certain people. It really gets to me. I just keep thinking 'what if' and etc etc until I am about to explode mentally and I can't even focus on normal little things. I find it so much easier to be at ease at BYU. I can't wait to get back and get away. At the same time I can't help but feel that I am running away from something here. I am running, but I don't care because that's the only thing I know how to do.

oh brother. I am pretty sure I'm never going to have children after having my cousins here for a week. They can play nicely for maybe five minutes, tops. ughhhhh. And none of them will take responsibility for their actions. Its very frustrating.
And now I'm tired and grumpy because they woke me up. grrrr. today's going to be a long day...

Marriages, church, and travel
Goodness, its so strange when people your own age start getting married. I went to a reception in Hillsboro for a friend of mine when I was little. Like age 3-9 little. It was completely awkward how many people would come up to me and say things like "OH I REMEMBER YOU!!" as if it was the most joyous occasion to see me again. Probably because I was a delightfully rambunctious child, and of course I'm still that little girl. NOT. I've mellowed, honestly I have mellowed out. People who know and love me now would be shocked if they saw my former craziness. So strange how we all change.
Today I went to church at the singles ward. Its about 5x better than when I was there a month ago. All because there are 5 attractive guys. Which is 5x the previous amount. Oh well. And I ran into Abram, which was a weird because I haven't talked to him in oh, a year and a half perhaps. I'm so jealous. He's planning to move to Germany. found out after church from Emily it was because he's practically engaged to some german girl, which he failed to mention when he was talking to me, oddly enough. Anyways, I thought it was curious you would neglect to mention that when someone asks why you're moving to Germany.
I am tired. There is a picture of the Vissers and me at the beach with Helena in the Netherlands. I miss them a lot. I wish I could go back, but I have no money. Someday :) Someday I will go back. Maybe even by next summer. I also want to go to Sweden. And Denmark. And Norway. Finland doesn't interest me much though.. OH and I want to go to Greece, and Turkey, and Egypt, and Israel, and Tunisia, and Morocco.. Welll, adding them to the 'to-do' list.

Thoughts of the day
I go home early tomorrow morning. I am pretty excited, but almost more excited to come back to Utah afterwards and start school with my new ward, my fab roommie Lara, and a great schedule, a good job, and a desire to keep working out and getting better in every way! :) Things are looking up for me at the moment. Every time I hit rock bottom, once I change my attitude things eventually get better. I just hope the next two weeks are full of ups and not downs!

I freaking LOVE the swedish.

So in my pursuits of good European music, I came across a group called EMD. Its europop, and to be honest, not that great, but one of the guys was really attractive. Danny Saucedo. Upon further research and youtube-ing while procrastinating finals studying, I found this great performance of just him in a club in Sweden. Its a jazz version of his hit single "if only you". I can't embed it in here, but here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NYm6DliCh8
He was apparently on Swedish Idols in 2006 but didnt win and went on to do his own album, the EMD group thing, and a dance competition show (the picture on the left is from that).
Oh deary me. Now I need to study instead of wasting time.
PS. I have a TV now to watch the Olympics on. yay!
:)

Olympics
I LOVE the Olympics. It is probably one of the only times I feel truly patriotic or that I am really proud of my country, and the athletes we have produced. Unfortunately I do not have a TV so to fix my predicament, I spent three hours at the gym watching the men's gymnastic team qualifying, beach volleyball, and swimming, including Michael Phelps' first gold medal of the games. I can't wait until I'm home and can watch the Olympics with the fam. Its kind of tradition, watching the Olympics as a family on the couch or on my parents' bed or whatever. I miss that!
Unfortunately they don't have live internet streaming on any of the events watched a bunch, like gymnastics and swimming, but they do have 1 hour and 41 minutes of the Chinese women's gymnastics team warming up and practicing, which I am watching.
Angela is coming down to Provo this week and will be bringing Lara's TV with her, so hopefully I won't have to do any more three hour workouts, my knee is killing me! But if necessary, I would sacrifice to be able to watch the Olympics: bring on the pain baby! Oh, and men gymnasts are amazingly strong. Its unbelievable.
One observation from my internet streaming time:
Gymnasts wear scrunchies. I would like to know why, instead of simply pulling their hair back with normal hair ties or even with a ribbon as a decorative touch. The scrunchies match their outfits, but is it some kind of 'generally accepted rule' that they all must wear hideous scrunchies? it reminds me of the 90's when that sort of thing was popular.
Second thing I wanted to show ya'll in case you missed it.
Sasha Artemev's pommel horse routine. This is an old video but I'm pretty sure its the same, or at least close to it. Absolutely amazing, and I don't even like that event so much.

On a lighter note:
I just watched the women's individual fencing sabre... and there was this ukranian girl playing against one of the american girls, and she kept on screaming. Not normal, but like heavy grunting long-lasting screaming every time she got a point. it kinda freaked me out.

Looks like I am never going to eat milk again
Last night was my final ice cream extravaganza. After waking up this morning with an itchy rash on several parts of my body and an upset stomach, I'm pretty sure I am allergic to it, not just lactose intolerance. My reasoning behind this is that 1. vomiting isn't a sign of lactose intolerance, 2. last night I resisted throwing up with all my might after eating it (I was either with Marissa or at work), and 3. I took lactaid and it didn't help.
This is really unfortunate for me, I'm sure you can understand. I think I'll go see a doctor in Oregon while I'm home just to see if I'm overreacting or something. UGH. But what else could cause these symptoms every time I eat something with a bunch of dairy? It will be a jolly time eating with marissa and angela: No wheat for marissa, no meat for angela, and no dairy for me.. haha we'll make a lovely trio. Lucky Lara- I don't think she has any restrictions on her diet.
I itch all over. and I feel so sick. I was supposed to play tennis this morning but I think I'm going to have to cancel once again on account of these hives or rashes or whatever the heck they are. NOT PLEASANT.
