bahahaha

I am ridiculous. I spend time worrying about things that don't matter. I have a faulty perception of reality.

but who doesnt? we all see what we want to see in both ourselves and others, right?

One of my students asked me today if he was a blockhead. I hope that isn't his perception.

OREGONNNNNNNN.

diet.

ooh and i need to dye my hair again. 3 guys told me yesterday to keep it black. so-- i guess I'll keep it black. I am a little worried cause as my skin loses its tan from the summer I might look really pale. Oh well... I'll have to se how it goes.

I have a lot of love in my heart. I like feeling this way.

I also like my plans for today. Slip'n'slide, BBQ, Brazilian festival, maybe catch the end of the football game on TV, hanging out, and campout/fort building.

Somewhere in there I need to get some work done too though... meh. Work hard, play hard. :)

Last night was EDP's one year anniversary party. It was a BLAST. Everyone had great sets, especially Cody. But of course since I'm friends with him I'm probably a little biased. There was a good crowd too, and my energy kept up for almost the entire 4 hours I was there. I say almost because I crashed for about a half hour around 11:30. We met some cool people too. When mac and I were going out to our car after getting my keys at emily's place, we met a kid from russia who walked us to our car and chatted with us for a while. I love friendly people. Random people you meet at 2 in the morning. Anyways... good things.

a memorable day

Went to work/school/work/school/work/school. I'm serious. That is what my MWFs are. straight from 7:30-4pm.

Then I went to the gym, showered super quickly, and my home teachers came over. I was kind of hungry, so I made myself a tuna sandwich, took a 20 min power nap, and headed over to FHE. I really like my group, they were all nice. I then went to the library to study, but ran into my old roommate Danielle who now works in info commons. We talked for a bit and I went upstairs to one of my usual spots and started studying. I'd been at the library for like ZERO time when I got a text from Tara about slip/n/slide on a tarp at her place. I was GOING to be responsible and just say no, but Em wanted to go. SO we went. and ran out of gas on the way. but to make things worse, neither of us had our debit cards on us so we walked in the pouring rain to my apartment, then to the gas station, then back to her abandoned car on the side of the road.

Finally we got to tara's and instead we played football in the rain. until midnight. it was awesome.

and i need to sleep.

what a great day.

more thoughts

I am so sick of negativity. I am sick of hearing people put down other people, their ideas, their way of doing things, how they look, think, talk. I am tired of it. Negativity has a tendency to rub off on those around you. I know it rubs off on me, and I've seen it rub off onto other people as well. We are all pretty darn great... despite our shortcomings or failings. So why be so negative? Why not look at EVERYONE for the positive. Why make fun of people? It only accentuates our own insecurities and makes us look like complete jerks.

New goal: positivity. all the time. impossible, I know.. but doesn't hurt to try.

potential?

talked to alison about the masters program in public administration--- apparently they have an emphasis in non-profit management or something like that.

i think i *might want to do that. and go on a mission between graduating from BYU and going to grad school. The more I think about it, the more I don't think I should leave for a mission right away.... yay for the possibilities!

good movie

Went to see this last weekend with my cousin Heidi. It was really good-- I didn't know really anything about it before I saw it, and thought it was so interesting in how it looked at human relationships- SO TRUE. brilliant. and funny. I loved it. go see it. for me it was cathartic, and that makes me so happy.
