Wisdom Teeth

Ouch. Ouch ouch ouch.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out on Wednesday, just in time for Thanksgiving. It was the best time to do it, because I don't want to miss school, and I also don't want to have to do it over Christmas break. However, there have been a few downsides. Even though Rebecca spent all day Wednesday with me and my cousins let me spend thanksgiving/friday with them, it hasn't been great.

In fact, I'm starting to get a little bit worried about it because I can't shut my mouth on the left side without biting down on my cheek. Its like it was stitched up wrong or something, so that the stitches are keeping the skin tight over my tooth. But its probably just a lot of swelling. The right side is just fine though, hardly any swelling at all.

Ouch. . . Ouch ouch ouch. I have a lot of grading to do today, but am not getting nearly enough done. It's a little difficult when you're on pain meds and your brain is fried.

In other news, I went to see New Moon today. Not nearly as hilariously entertaining as the first one, but a decent girly movie. Definitely worth a girl's afternoon.

Ouch. my teeth. hurt. a lot. a lot a lot.

The secret is out!

I'm going on a mission. My mom doesn't know yet (I'm planning on surprising her at Christmas) so please don't tell her if you know her.

Now that that has been established, I am facing a bunch of uncertainties:

Uncertainty #1
Where will I live for the next 18 months?
Uncertainty #2
Will I be able to sell my contract at BYU?
Uncertainty #3
What direction will my life take educationally when I return?
Uncertainty #4
When will my call arrive in the mail?

Where do I want to go? Preferably somewhere really exotic.
Where will I go? Probably somewhere in the US, but that'd be okay too. I know the calls are inspired, and that's enough for me.

My availability date is on January 10th. I might not be gone until April, it all depends on when/where I'm needed.

Is it morbid...

....that I still have my best friend from high school's number in my phone, along with two other deceased people's numbers? Is it indicative of an inability to let go? I visited Allison's facebook page tonight, just because. I don't know why. She has only 62 friends left on there... so as people go on with their lives they delete her I guess. It's just the internet, I am well aware, but still.. interesting.

I went to the temple today. The girl sitting next to me told me something that really touched me. It was just one of those things I needed to hear right now.

The night my little sister got in her car accident, two other people my mom knows got in car accidents. One was pulled from her vehicle by 3 young men who just happened to stop by, who called the last person from her phone and told them she had been in a car accident, and then left so no one knows who they are. She was really lucky though because her car burst into flames just shortly after she was pulled from it.

I may not be the best writer, the best listener, the best friend. But I am always trying. I think most of us are always trying. There is always a little more room for forgiveness, a little more room for patience, a little more room for charity and love. And with this in my thoughts I am going to sleep.
