Snowstorm

Luckily I was able to get home for Christmas on friday night, despite the SLC airport shutting down for a couple of hours due to a snowstorm and just before the Portland airport shut down, also due to a snowstorm. (and then it was closed for like two days after I got in! lucky me!)

So then I was stuck inside for almost 5 days, about three of them without power. It was nice to spend a lot of time with my family, but those five days ate up almost half of my Christmas vacation!!As you can see, the snow was up to the seat of the chair. Oregon pretty much broke all its snow records this month in all of recorded history.

On one of the days stuck inside I gave Anna a haircut!
We took off probably five or six inches! :) It was a good use of stuck inside time.

This past week was full of ups and downs:

first, the downs. Actually, there's really only one thing that was a little on the yuck side: last week of the semester=stress.

but then the UPS.
