kind of a busy week

this week I had stuff to do every day!! and not too much down time. That was SO wonderful. However, now I am faced with an hour and a half of nothing to do while i wait to go with Ian on a hike. I kind of want to take a nap, but that's dangerous because I always am so groggy after naps. Rachel came and hung out for lunch today which was nice, and I was able to get some laundry done. I LOVE the smell of my laundry detergent. It took me forever to find one that I liked enough. I don't remember who I was with, either andrea or marissa, but we spend probably 15 minutes on the aisle of Smith's with laundry detergent sniffing and comparing. But eventually we found the one. Tide 'Simple Pleasures' laundry detergent: Vanilla and Lavender scented. YUM.

After my laundry was done I headed over to Jenny's to drop off my timesheet. :) They aren't due until tomorrow, but it gave me a chance to walk most of the way back to Rachel's work with her.

dieting stinks

okay first of all, i've been really good about writing down what I eat lately. I've been doing it online and stuff, so not too time consuming. But the problem is, because I am so concentrated on watching what I eat, I think about food allll the time. Tonight I went to rachel's house for dinner, convinced that I wouldnt eat any more sugar, but we ended up going and buying rice pudding.

the thing I didnt realize is that (DUH MOMENT) rice pudding has milk. or cream. and lots of it.
So halfway through our conversation with some old friends of rachel and peter's, I start feeling a bit throw uppish. I dont know if i'm lactose intolerant or mildly allergic to milk or dairy or something... but dairy makes me 1. vomit, 2. get sicky, 3. gaseous. yeah, not much fun. So i came home, and I threw up. *note: I am NOT bulimic. the only time i throw up is when I'm REALLY sick or I eat a bunch of dairy

which in all honesty I am not TOO sad about because I shouldn't have eaten it in the first place. and secondly, I feel so much better afterwards.

So here I sit, typing away on my computer again regretting a few choices of the day. I need to stop justifying it and just buckle down. Because that's the only way I'll get the reward I'm working towards

looking back

I hate looking back into the past and seeing my mistakes (or the mistakes of others as the case is tonight) and wanting to go change them. It really really stinks when we mess stuff up seriously.

If I could go back in time, here are a few things I would change.

1. not ever EVER go snowboarding. 1 little day changed 2.5 years already
2. spend more time with my family during high school
3. not waste my time loving someone who 1, wasn't worth my time and 2, made me think they could love me too (aka leading me to think they were going to dump their gf for me.. yeah, look how that one turned out, lovely. NOT)
4. keep a better journal. there are so many things allison and I talked about that I wish I could remember- like deep important things.
5. tried harder to learn dutch and get to know people while I was in Holland


yeah. and i would have been more kind. definitely more kind.



But we cannot dwell in the past can we? nope. most definitely not. and I will move past this.

remembering my childhood

I stumbled upon this music video with people jump roping. It reminds me of when I did Red Hots, and did that stuff (not as good as the people in the video) but a lot of swwweeet tricks. I wish my knee could handle jumproping again!

I got into the class! YAY!

After an entire year of waiting, I was finally able to fit Portuguese 101 into my schedule!! I am so excited! I have wanted to learn that beautiful language ever since meeting many Brazilians as an exchange student in the Netherlands. :)





So next year my schedule is awesome. I just need to make sure I am able to work enough hours to survive at school. I think Lara and I will start selling our plasma, and I will try to get a job working at the football games. Reasons why include the fact that you get to be a part of the spirit of the game without paying for it, and the last ten minutes of the game you get to stand on the field. Thats my main motivation. And it doesn't sound TOO terribly boring. Hopefully between working for Jenny, and working the football games I can make it! Woohooo go college life!

Another thing that has been weighing on my mind lately is what I will minor in, or double major, if that be the case. I found something that sounds pretty interesting- travel and tourism studies. its under the umbrella of geography, and is one of the areas of emphasis. Anyways, it sounds cool. I think after next semester I can see how I like the geography class I'm taking for IR... if I like geography, then perhaps I will continue in that direction.

The second option I've thought about is minoring in international development. The thing is- what I want to do with my major is travel and help people. Sooooooooo... either of these options would hopefully allow me to do just that. But we'll just have to wait and see! Life is looking pretty exciting at the moment, like nothing can get me down. It won't last long. It never does.

My optimism was kick started by the fact that I was able to successfully run for 5 minutes on the treadmill today. that is so long for me!!! it was half a mile! :) I am on my way to recovery without those stupid physical therapists who hardly even helped me. I pray and I work hard. That's how my new regimen goes.

Time for a new post

yeah, so the girls are squealing again downstairs... it really rather stinks. but whatev, I can deal with it I suppose. I should really be sleeping anyways, we have a cleaning check tomorrow, and I haven't done anything yet. My room is quite a mess. I purchased my plane ticket to go back home, and I'll be there in a little less than a month. :)

I'm tired. I'm going to go to bed.

The Apartment Below

The apartment below me is full of incredibly annoying girls. right now they are making high pitched "beeeep" noises. Don't ask me why- they live to be obnoxious, I'm almost positive. At church I had to ask them to be quiet in Relief Society because their whispering was drowning out the girl teaching. I don't understand how some people can have such blatant disregard for others. Its plain rude. And I don't like them. Maybe I can find pics of them on facebook to show you.
Nope. That was unsuccessful. What a pity. They just reek of brattiness, and all things I don't like about Utah. Even though they are from Arizona. whatever.

and who knows, karma may come to bite me and i'll end up being besties with them. oh please no.

Mission

I had a dream last night that I was called on a mission to Poland. and Romania. At the same time.

My initial thought was that I subconsciously knew that Poland was next to Romania--but upon consulting a European map, found that Romania was located significantly to the south of Poland. I should have known that?

My second though was that its karma. All those bad things I've said about Poland being the buttwipe of Europe and so on. I. guess... its. not. so. bad.?

I made up my mind not to talk to someone because I need to let go...

today I got burned.



and I asked Larisa if she had any Aloe Vera. She didnt, but what she did have was an old russian remedy... Sour Cream.

needless to say, it smelled a bit, but cooled it down. I hope its not too bad for it ;)
