Blogging is my new procrastination mechanism

I used to go on facebook when I wanted to avoid doing my homework-- now I blog. I'm well aware that my blogs are semi-uninteresting, but in reality... the only people who really read this are my relatives and maybe a couple friends every once in a while, so you ALL know I'm not actually as boring as my writing would suggest. haha.

So I'm in the cartography lab on campus working on another GIS module trying to figure out how to design maps. It's interesting, but I have been going going going since work started at 8am this morning, and will probably start going crazy if I don't take a little break.
Because this is the kind of stuff i've been staring at for the past hour and a half.

There was a sweet forum today by the way, you should all watch it on sunday when it re-airs; It's very rare that I laugh during those things, but this guy was hilarious and had a great message too.

Anyways, I think this summer I can go to Brazil if it works out that I can go visit Helena in Sao Paulo!! I found a pretty cheap ticket, and I can work more hours here during the spring and summer, so I should be able to afford it! :) I just hope she gets back to me soon about her plans... they are kind of opposite of us so I don't know what her winter is looking like, or if she is going to be in school the entire time etc. because that would definitely change my plans.

Also- I talked to a professor about a mormon migration geography research thing he's working on... I don't know if I'll end up working with him, but he said he might need people at the end of the semester so we'll see!!! I want to start working with people in geography.. it will open some doors.
